Several Northwest Oklahoma towns are hosting meals this weekend in honor of Groundhog Day to support local efforts:
NASH—Nash Fire Department will host its Ground Hog Supper on Saturday (February 1) from 5-7 PM. All donations support the rural fire department.
GAGE—Gage Fire Department will host its annual Ground Hog Pancake Supper on Saturday (February 1) from 5-7 PM. Meal includes pancakes, sausage and gravy with biscuits, plus Blue & Gold sausage and bacon. All donations support the volunteer fire department.
OKEENE—Okeene Ag Booster Dinner on Sunday (February 2) from 11:30 AM to 1 PM in the Okeene School Cafeteria will include pulled pork and smoked turkey. Tickets at the door are $12. Carryout is available. Proceeds benefit the 4-H and FFA ag programs.
HOOKER—Enjoy the 87th annual Groundhog Supper on Sunday (February 2) from 5-7:30 PM at Hooker Wesleyan Church, 202 E. Imo, Hooker. All-you-can-eat meal includes liver and onions, sauerkraut and ribs, sausage gravy and biscuits, carrots, celery, mashed potatoes, and ice cream. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
GUYMON—Victory Memorial Methodist Men will host a Ground Hog Dinner on Monday (February 3) from 5-7 PM at the church, 6th and Quinn, Guymon. Menu includes sausage, liver and onions, sauerkraut, biscuit and gravy, green beans, and pie. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
