Manchester

Nestled just south of the Oklahoma-Kansas state line on the north edge of Grant County along State Hwy 132 is Manchester. The town was created during the Land Run of 1893 when Kansas newspaper publisher J. Mason Simmons set up a press in a tent on that day and started printing the Manchester Journal newspaper; the post office was officially established four years later.
